Shasta Community Church
1946- Shasta Community Church originally began as Shasta Community Union Sunday School, which was organized by Walter Dawson, an American Sunday school Union Field missionary. Meetings were held at the Old Schoolhouse in Shasta, California.
1961- Church began to grow, there was a realized need for a pastor and a church building.
Clearing for Whiskeytown Lake was taking place and all buildings had to be either torn down or moved. An auction was held and for $1,000 the Whiskeytown School and one house were purchased by the church and moved to Shasta.

May 14, 1962- Pastor Atlee Bahler was called to Pastor Shasta Community Church.
1964- Church and Sunday School were held in the newly remodelled building. |
Upon senior Pastor Bahler's retirement, Pastor Stan Brown served as the senior Pastor from 1981 until his passing in October of 2000.

Many men helped fill the pulpit over the years after Pastor Brown's death. Pastor Keith Stone served as senior Pastor from 2006 until 2013.
Pastor Lyndell Kuns began serving the church as Interim Pastor in 2014 and in 2015 became the senior Pastor. |
