We Believe
The Bible as originally given is the WORD and REVELATION of God, inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed. II Timothy 3:16-17;
In the triune God, three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit: one Godhead. John 16:7- 15.
In the deity of Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, that he is the second person of the Trinity, God incarnate, Very God of God, for whom and by whom all things are created. John 1:1-14.
The Holy Spirit indwells every believer.In the personality of Satan, and the universality and exceeding sinfulness of sin. Isaiah 14:12-14.
In the substitutionary atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the necessity of the NEW BIRTH through faith in the acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior.
I Peter 3:18; John 1:12; 3:3.
In the physical resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and that He ascended bodily into the heavens and is now at the right hand of God as Mediator, Priest and Advocate.
I Cor. 15:1-4; Acts 1:1-11; I Timothy 2:5.
In the personal, premillennial and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ for all believers. I Thess. 4:14-18.
The Lord Jesus Christ is coming to execute judgment on all ungodly, and that there will be a resurrection of the unjust unto eternal judgment. II Thess. 1:7-9.
We Believe:
Marriage has been ordained by God. This church defines "marriage" as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. A civil government's sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of "marriage" found in these Articles.
Legitimate sexual relation are exercised solely within marriage. Hence, sexual activities outside of marriage (referred to in the New Testament as "porneia") including but not limited to, adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality, and pedophilia are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious conduct, transgender behavior, and the creation and/or distribution and/or viewing of pornography, are incompatible with the biblical witness.
In the evangelistic commission of all believers. Acts 1:8.
It is the duty of all born again believers to maintain good works.
That there are two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. I Cor. 11:23-26.
In the literal heaven where the spirits of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus as Savior, pass immediately upon death to be with the Lord. II Cor. 5:6-9.
That every believer has been given one or more of the spiritual gifts (I Cor. 12: 7-11), and that these gifts should be exercised by believers in accordance with Biblical teaching. I Cor. 12:4-14, 27-31; 14:26-40; Eph. 4:11-16.
